1.1 The CAPS Network Capacity

capacity

The CAPS enabled bodyshop repair community is currently over 1100 of the premier UK bodyshop repair facilities. CAPS research has determined that of the current 5,500 UK bodyshops, the top 1,500 actually process and repair as much as 80% of the UK motor accident insurance claims. This means that today the CAPS network currently have the capacity to handle over 60% of the total UK crash repair market.

The CAPS Consortium currently has six out of the total eight UK repair management software companies as its members and therefore has an IT development and support resource pool of over 20 permanent staff, which would be the envy of many much larger single organisations.
